Tasty's Caribbean Cuisine

My family and I were looking to introduce some Trini food to my cousin visiting from out of town. The customer service was on point and overall the food was amazing. The curry goat and chicken roti were great, however the stew chicken was a bit too sweet for my personal taste. Other than that, we had a great time.

The restaurant itself is not super vibe-y BUT the food makes up for it tenfold! I had the Jerk chicken with rice and peas (peas are kidney beans) and I had the slaw as the side with a side order of plantains. It is seriously THE BEST jerk chicken I've had in my life. It is very spicy so if you don't like spicy food this is not for you. I highly recommend having the cole slaw as a side and the plantains with your food. Enjoy.

Jerk Chicken Special w/ Rice and Beans - Jerk chicken is super tender and moist. The skin is charred nicely, soaked up a rich gravy and smoky jerk seasoning on the fatty skin. The rice was a little firmer than normal, but I liked it's chewier texture. Regular red kidney beans, creamy, and vegetable sides were surprisingly sweet.

Delicious food! I got the oxtail meal and their soup of the day which was chicken soup. The meat is so tender and flavorful. It was such a hearty meal. The prices are decent, and the staff there was friendly. I would definitely come back again.

My first carribean food experience, and I can honestly say it did exceed my expectations in terms of flavor. We ordered their 8.99 deals sandwich and the rice and beans with Jerk + and upsize to the regular. Both tasted good and this sets the standard for all my future carribean food moving forwards

Hankering for Caribbean curried goat with rice and peas, had a disappointing one elsewhere, but this place was bang on point, spicy beef patty was good as well. Interesting reading the reviews all the 1 stars appear to be doordash/ubereats who can't seem to follow restaurant policy.. should all be removed

I was craving oxtail yesterday. I was on the streetcar when I saw Tasty's, I got off and of course I have to order my oxtail. I also ordered Paratha with bone-in goat meat and potatoes. The portions are big, well worth the price. My kids and I ate everything. It was very good. The seasoning was on point. The oxtail wasn't spicy hot and the coleslaw was perfectly creamy. I have nothing negative to say. The staff was professional and friendly. The guy I spoke with knows his stuff and helps you make a choice of you are stuck. It is nice to see that everything offered on the menu was available to order. A definite must try!!

I am very happy with my meal I purchased at Tasty's Caribbean Cuisine located near College and Spadina. I ordered the Boneless Chicken Roti with Curry potatoes (only), wrapped with pepper sauce on the side. I also ordered a beef patty and an Island Soda Pineapple. I am picky with Roti and the one thing I hate is when there is no gravy in the wrap. Not in this case it was the perfect amount of gravy and it was still hot and the pepper oh my was hot! Like hot! I loved it. The beef patty surprised me it was good as well. Though since the roti was well portioned I was not able to finish the Patty but, my mom liked it too so it's a winner. I hope to order again and it be the same experience. I would recommend the visit
